Sunday morning. The Grand Banks rendezvous is over. Time to go. Boats started leaving early. Real early.
I managed to get a few photos of some of the boats departing. A number of folks had already departed by the time I thought of it, though.

Our friend Bruce flew up to join un on the return trip to Seattle. He arrived on the 12:30 Kenmore flight.
And we were off. Archimedes on her way.
We motored our way around San Juan Island and down through Cattle Passage on our way to the night’s destination, Point Hudson. The seas were flat and calm as could be most of the way.
This morning, we were up early and and bound for Seattle by 0600. Once again, calm seas all the way.

We slipped through the locks with little waiting and were back home on Lake Union by 11:30. Rain started in earnest about 30 minutes later. Our timing was great.
It was a great trip. The rendezvous was fun. We met some great folks. We would have loved to have stayed out longer, but work always seems to get in the way.
What a cool way to visit with other boaters when you want to. Beautiful seas and beautiful boats.
It was a great time. We met some very nice folks. And the San Juan Islands are a fantastic place to go boating.
