But the end is near (or at least nearer). With luck, this will be the last (or next to last) report before we get the boat back. Yea! Work on the doors continues on schedule at Thomas Marine Interiors. The new interior panels are on the doors. As you can see, this require many clamps. Mike is going to paint the outside panels and put in new glass as well.
The brightwork is still a bit behind schedule. No one’s fault, it’s just an old boat. Native Brightworks has had the cap rails under lights to dry the wood around all the screw holes. The moisture content was too high in those areas to proceed. See the earlier posts for more info. We are good to go now.
The first coats of varnish are on the rails!
We have pushed the pickup date back to April 12th. It will be nice to have the boat back and we appreciate the folks that have been busy working on her.
Great boating weather is fast approaching and we want to be as shiny as possible.
