We’ve been out of Internet contact for a few days so I am trying to get all the posts caught up.
A few morning sprinkles and a nice rainbow as sunrise greeted us.
After a leisurely breakfast, we left Spencer Spit about 9:00 and headed for Canada.
Up through Harney channel between Orcas and Shaw Islands, around Crane Island, through Spring Passage between Jones and Orcas Islands and north to Bedwell.
Mystic Eagle from Northwest Explorations passed us just before Harney Channel.
We cleared Customs at Bedwell. The first time we actually cleared in the office talking to real people. It’s always been on the phone in the past.
We left Bedwell and headed around the west side of North Pender Island and up Swanson Channel to Montague Harbour. To our surprise, most of the mooring buoys were empty. Instead of anchoring, we grabbed a buoy over near the shore and the hill. Nice and quiet.
Everyone appeared to be enjoying the evening. Lots of folks cooking dinner on their grills.
We fell asleep on the flybridge looking at the stars. Fantastic.
